ABOUT BRYONY

Warm and welcoming yoga and sound events, offering guidance to those seeking balance of body and mind.

Hello there – I’m Bryony!

I first found yoga in my early twenties. Like many people, I initially came to it for the physical side of things – stretching, moving, and building strength after an accident. But it didn’t take long for me to notice that yoga gave me space to breathe, helped to clear my mind, and supported my mental health in a way I hadn’t experienced before.

In 2017, after wrestling with imposter syndrome (I still can’t do a handstand!), I applied to train as a yoga teacher with Yogacampus. I completed my 18-month diploma with over 320 hours of in-person training. Learning from a wide range of inspiring teachers, including Judith Hanson Lasater, Doug Keller and Lisa Kaley-Isley, has shaped how I teach today. My curiosity hasn’t stopped there, and I continue to deepen my practice through a 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training at OrangeYoga, which began in January 2026. Both qualifications are accredited by Yoga Alliance.

My teaching is grounded in accessibility, kindness and care. I’m a qualified Restorative and Chair Yoga teacher, disability and trauma-informed, and particularly passionate about supporting mental health through gentle, inclusive movement. I’ve previously taught yoga with Rethink Mental Health, and I’m also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

In 2023, I followed another long-held passion and trained with the Sound Healing Academy, completing a Level 2 Diploma in Professional Integral Sound Bath Certification. Playing music has been a huge part of my life from a very young age, and the healing power of sound feels intuitive and natural to me. I regularly host Yoga & Sound Relaxation sessions in the local community, alongside more specialist sessions for a wide range of groups, from older adults and dementia care settings, to schools and corporate teams. Throughout the summer months, you can also find me hosting sound baths at National Trust properties across the Midlands.

I’ve been leading community wellbeing sessions in Sandwell since 2019. In May 2024, I founded Body Mind Collective CIC, a separate not-for-profit social enterprise, to develop this work further and help make wellbeing services more financially accessible across the borough. While Body Mind Collective focuses on community programmes and work with organisations and funders, Bryony Morris Yoga is where I share my personal teaching, sessions and practice.

My sessions are suitable for all levels and bodies. They aim to be calm, inclusive and supportive, offering a safe space to gently explore the body, settle the nervous system, and find a little more ease. You don’t need to be flexible, experienced or “good at yoga”, and you don’t need to wear fancy leggings (unless you want to); you’re welcome just as you are.

If you’d like to learn more about my personal offerings, or you’re curious about the wider community work of Body Mind Collective CIC, please get in touch and I can help you find the sessions that feel right for you.
